Dr. W. Julian Korab-Karpowicz holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor at the Depatments of Philosophy and of International Relations.
He has been teaching at Bilkent University since Fall Semester 2000. He received his doctorate in philosophy (D.Phil.)
from the University of Oxford and a master’s degree (Ph.L.) from the Catholic
University of America, Washington, D.C. He primary reserach interests include political philosophy, political ethics, theory
of international relations, and the history of philosophy.
He has published articles on various political and
philosophical themes in such journals as Philosophy Today, Journal of Human Values, Theoria,
Humanitas, Existentia, Dialogue and Humanism, and The Owl of Minerva. His most recent
publications include: "The UN and the Idea of International Security,"
